The Value of Being Human The Archangels Discuss True Equality

Written by author and channel, Jodie Helm. (Ignore the “by Pete” line above. All I do is post Jodie’s articles to save her the trouble. – Pete)

I am a work in progress. I think everyone continues to grow and evolve, at least I hope we do, and I’d like to think we’re doing better, as the Angels proclaim. Everyone is on their own spiritual path, whether they call it that or not, and we all have individual life plans we designed for ourselves, so we do things on our own timetable.

I’m feeling really thankful as we head into Thanksgiving week. I think I’m a better person than I used to be, and I try to stay humble. Every once in a while, the universe (or the Angels) reminds me that I still have a long way to go, as I keep on keepin’ on. Last night, I channeled a message that started out as one thing and ended up as something else. This isn’t unusual. Afterwards, I was grateful for the lesson it taught me, and I hope you enjoy it, too.

Question: Can you offer some guidance and explain to us about how everyone is equally important and valuable?

Answer:

If we asked you the following question, how would you answer it, and please make note of your first emotional reaction to it before you answer:

Do you think you are better than other people?

As we channel this message, we can anticipate most of your responses. Some of you will get “huffy,” if you will, and feel insulted as you answer assuredly that you do not think you are better than anyone else.

Others will overthink and be unsure of their feelings as well as their response. Some will try to quantify and qualify “other people,” seeking justification for their thoughts. You may consider different categories of people, such as criminals, miscreants, and those who had misguided or challenging lives, for instance, or perhaps you will consider yourself better than those who are stupid, uneducated, minorities, various groups who think differently than you, or the poor or unemployed.

Still others will feel threatened or deflated, because they believe there are many people who are better than them. Perhaps, they feel insecure in their own worth and what they have to offer. Or perhaps they feel angry, because they have not had the same opportunities as others and they think the comparison is unfair, because others have certain advantages with which they were born or have had given to them.

For those who answered an irrefutable no, whether you got “huffy” or simply felt confident in your answer, we would ask you to think of as many people as you can who have wronged you, misjudged you, made you angry, or belittled you in some way. Then, we would ask you the same question again. If you are less sure with your second answer to the same question, we congratulate you for your honesty and self-awareness. You have learned something about yourself, and you can decide whether or not you need to reevaluate some of your beliefs and actions.

There is no shame in the truth, and just because something is true today does not mean it will remain true in the future. Incidentally, if you honestly confirmed your first answer the second time, that is wonderful. You are the people who catch yourself making judgments and stop yourselves from continuing that pattern. You should congratulate yourself for catching this behavior you do not wish to continue, rather than feeling badly because you have occasionally slipped back into old habits.

For those of you in the second group who are unsure of how to honestly answer, do not feel badly. You have been conditioned to believe that not only is hierarchy acceptable, but it is a fact of life. You have also been taught that there are always rules in place that must be followed, and you are uncomfortable, because you are unsure of what rules apply to the question.

For those who fell into the third group and feel either insecure or angry, we would congratulate you also for your honesty and self-awareness, and restate that today’s truth may change or evolve into something else entirely, and that is completely up to you.

We say none of these things in judgment of you. Remember, we love you unconditionally. We merely wish to point out these ideas, so you can think about them. In truth, most people have not reached the point of completely believing that all people are equally important, that there should be no hierarchy. We just wished to give you an example that would provoke thoughts and help you get to know yourselves better.

Our channel may be slightly uncomfortable with us sharing her thoughts, but she knows she always has the choice of including this or not. As she believes strongly that her purpose is to help others, we are guessing she will include this. Initially, she answered that she did not think she was better than other people, but when we challenged her to consider all the people who had harmed or irritated her in the past, she considered how she felt about crooked politicians, religious fanatics, and those who had intentionally tried to hurt her, and she realized that she wasn’t as confident in her initial answer.

Excellent job on her part for knowing how she wants to feel, and realizing she is not quite there yet. Because she reevaluated her truth and did her own self-analysis, she is already closer to the person she wants to be and will work on that more consciously. The goal should never be perfection. Instead, we urge you to know yourself well enough that you see yourself honestly, you evaluate areas you want to address, and you can see growth and improvement as you continue on your spiritual path. You should always question yourself and reevaluate your life and beliefs often. When you can do that, you evolve.

By the way, there is not any right or wrong answer to our question. You are all on your own path, on your own journey, on your own timeline. The first point to be made is that you should all spend time getting to know yourselves better and know where you are now and where you want to eventually be, who you want to be. You cannot evolve or improve, should you want to, without first knowing your truth.

Back to the original topic, the fact of the matter is, in our eyes and in the eyes of the Creator, you are all of equal worth and value, despite any choices or mistakes you have made. The only difference is where you are on your spiritual journey, and how much you have learned. Those of you who have advanced further than others are not better, you are just living your life, learning along the way, just like everyone else. We do not compare you in any way to anyone else, and neither should you. We only gauge your growth from one life to the next, and we do that only so we can help you on your journey.

When you learn this important lesson, that everyone is equally important, you will find more patience and compassion for those who persecute, anger, and aggravate you. You will feel less judgmental and be less easy to provoke when you begin to see your face in the faces of others, especially those you would prefer to avoid. As your true nature and universal connection gets stronger and becomes more apparent, you will be able to truthfully answer that all people are equally worthy of love and are all valuable to the world, whether they have reached that point of understanding or not. This, then, is a worthy goal to pursue and a project on which to work. This is the direction in which all of you are headed, assuming you are open to this ideology.

This is difficult for most of you, understandably. It goes against the status quo and you will likely feel uncomfortable at times as you evolve into the best version of yourself. As you continue on this journey, we would remind you to set your first priority as being loving, kind, compassionate, and forgiving of yourself. You cannot truly offer these things to others if you do not first apply them to yourself. We promise you that you have done nothing that is unworthy of forgiveness.

It will take time and effort, but remember to celebrate your progress as your success. Remember to compare your current self only with your past self, and realize how you have changed. Do not treat yourself harshly, but lovingly instead.

We celebrate with or without you and give you full credit that is your due, even when you cannot see it. We travel this path with you, looking for ways to help you. You are never alone.

We send you all Love and Light.

Final Thoughts

I remember having a discussion with my husband a long time ago about why, if there was a God, people went hungry. I pointed out that there is plenty of food for everyone on the planet. The problem isn’t a lack of food; the problem is the lack of equality and humanity among people.

The Angels tell us that problems such as this will eventually be solved, not because we invent something new or find a better way to distribute things, but because we will care more. We are all changing in the way we look at things. There will come a day when the knowledge that some people do not have enough food to eat will be addressed immediately and rectified, because the thought of someone doing without basic survival needs will be abhorrent and unacceptable.

It’s a matter of priorities and equality and realizing that we should all care about each other and make sure everyone is treated fairly. The systems currently in place are not working, at least not for a lot of people. They’ll either have to be modified or, in many cases, rebuilt completely. Equality issues have never been solved and rarely even addressed fully. We know people are in need, and some of us try to help where we can, but it needs to be a global effort, not just up to a relatively few individuals.

We are moving toward unity. We’re not there yet, but that can be a goal we work toward.

Blessings all, Jodie.
