I channel my soul sometimes. Since I’m a girl, I think of her as a girl, and she’s become my best friend. It sounds a little crazy, right? How do you talk to your soul? Is it just talking to yourself? Well, yes and no.
When I channel my soul, she always begins with, “I am you, and you are me.” The human/soul relationship has been very challenging for me to grasp, and it’s a work in progress. At first, I was very resentful, because I know the soul plans the life we live, and there have been some pretty rough patches I’ve gone through. I felt like a puppet, dancing to someone else’s tune I had no part in composing. It’s hard to grasp that my soul made the plan, therefore I made the plan. It doesn’t feel that way. That’s because my human consciousness has no clear memory of the process. It’s all part of the plan.
Have I lost you yet? I hope not! I could go on and on about the difficulty and adjustments I’ve gone through to get to where I am now, in a close relationship with my soul, knowing she is my greatest ally, but that would just add to the crazy, so suffice it to say that the human/soul relationship can feel complicated and hard to understand, but it’s actually natural and healthy, and the more comfortable and in tune you are with your soul, the more it can help you navigate this lifetime, always with your best interests at heart.
When you bond with your soul, you join two parts that make you a whole. It’s a whole new world, and you’re a whole — literally and figuratively — person who realizes there are endless possibilities in front of you. Knowing your soul will help guide you to a wise, enriching path is both comforting and powerful. I asked the Archangels for some clarity and guidance with this process. It didn’t start out to be a question about bonding with your soul, it was a question about the concept of considering yourself as your home, that wherever you are, you are home, because you are your own home base. Their commentary follows.
Question: I would like to write about always being at home within yourself, no matter where you are; being comfortable anywhere, because you are comfortable with yourself. Please help.
Answer: With pleasure. Let us explore this idea that a person is his or her own, true home. It is not this temporary body that houses your soul, consciousness, divinity, and light of which we speak. As remarkable as the physical body is, it is temporary. It was never intended to be a permanent home, but rather a vehicle in which you may experience a physical life. It is what is temporarily housed in the body that is permanent. It is your soul that is your permanent home, even though most of you do not currently have a meaningful relationship with your higher self, that is, that you are aware of, although your soul is the essence of you that never dies. You should all seek to know that part of yourself better.
While a human being is confused at times, the soul is assured. While a person is unsure of what to do, the soul always knows what is best. As a human seeks answers, the soul seeks experience and the spiritual growth that comes with it. The soul has infinite universal knowledge, yet it needs the human body to experience this knowledge and truly understand it. So, as the soul enters the human body, it is a collaboration of sorts, each part needing the other and growing throughout the partnership. The soul plans the life and lives it as a human. When the life ends, the knowledge and experiences remain forever with the soul. The soul is everlasting, and each lifetime is added to a soul’s knowledge and spiritual growth. The body is the only thing that is temporary, as the consciousness, identity, emotions, and experiences of all lifetimes remain with the soul.
When you become conscious of your soul, you become grounded. When you interact with your soul, you find and feel your power, because you know who you are. You understand that you are a divine being of light who can shape and create your own life and choose who you become. This is to come home to yourself. This is the goal of all souls, and when you share this goal, you become sovereign, and no matter where you are, who you are with, what you are doing, you stand in and own yourself. Whether or not you are accepted or approved of by others is not important, because you know, accept, and approve of yourself.
This is empowerment. Although fear may reach you, it will not hold you, because you have access to your power, and you know you are mighty. You no longer fear death, because you know when you leave this body, you go to your true home of origin, and you do not end. You do not fear judgment or condemnation during or after your human existence, because you know you are loved always and unconditionally. You feel that love within you and you want to share it with others, because you know that all life is connected. When you come home to yourself, you want to be a better person, because you know you already are so much more than you realized. Past actions and beliefs cannot re-form the being of light who you already are. When you awaken to who you really are, it is as if you were asleep or wearing a disguise that fooled even you.
The love you feel within you and around you is the same love and connection you share with all others. It is amazing when you truly know who you are, and you wish to live up to this eternal legacy and become who you were always meant to be. When you come home to yourself, when you join with your soul on a conscious level, you are in control of yourself, and you have neither the need nor the desire to relinquish that control to others. You become your own boss, and you are more decisive about what is best for you, and if you make a mistake or need to make an adjustment, you can and you do. You become who you want to become, rather than who people try to make you into, and the only boundaries you have are those you place upon yourself, where you want them.
This is not to say that you do whatever you want, discarding laws and rules to suit yourself only. When you are soul driven you want a life of harmony with the things and people around you. You do not wish to control others or compete with them. You wish them the same success you have, whatever that may look like, and you know that diversity is a strength. You are not threatened by others, and you do not wish to threaten them. You know and respect that all people must find their own path, and you do not want to deprive them of that journey. You are genuinely delighted when you see happiness in others.
So, how do you go about getting more involved with your soul? First, set the intention. Invite your soul into your consciousness, and ask it to be part of your human life experience. Open yourself to its presence. Sit quietly daily and open your mind to communication. Listen and pay attention to your thoughts and write them down. Consider free writing, that is, simply writing whatever thoughts enter your mind. Begin to ponder your life. What do you like and not like about it? Ask your soul for guidance and clarity. Begin to visualize the things you would like to be part of your life, and consider ways to move in that direction, all the time asking your soul for guidance and clarity. Strip down to the basics of what is most important to you. What do you want your life to be? Make this a regular routine in your life and pay attention to your thoughts and ideas.
You may feel foolish in the beginning, and you may write silly things, like, “I don’t know what I’m supposed to write,” or “I don’t see how this is going to help,” or “This is ridiculous,” but stick with it for at least a month, and you will see some changes. Instead of random thoughts, you will begin to see reflective thoughts that lead you down paths of awareness and contemplation. Ideas will come to you; some you will discard, and others you will consider and pursue. You will see a change in the things you think and write down. It will cease to be gibberish, and it will take form. Do not concern yourself with where your thoughts come from, just listen to them. You do not need to find proof that your soul is speaking to you, just consider your thoughts. Your soul and your Guides will help you. Just invite them in and listen.
We send you all Love and Light.
I remember listening to Lee Harris describe a lady who was following a similar procedure, and she told him she didn’t believe the thoughts and ideas she’d written down were from her soul, but just her own ideas. For those of you not familiar with Lee, he is a channel for “The Z’s” and has his own website, Lee Harris Energy. He read what she had written and asked if she normally complimented and encouraged herself as much as her writing indicated. She answered no, and reevaluated whether or not she didn’t have some kind of collaboration going on, after all.
We could continue along that vain and confuse ourselves all over again, but let’s not. Wherever the woman’s thoughts came from doesn’t really matter, does it? The fact that those thoughts made her more contemplative and led her to do some “soul searching” and reevaluation that led to clarity and considering new options is what’s important. The thing is, since the soul and the human being are the same entity in different forms, the soul’s thoughts in a sense are the human’s thoughts, only with more knowledge and experience behind them. If you can’t wrap your head around this human/soul relationship, that’s okay, just go with it. If you never consider where your thoughts are coming from, who cares, as long as they lead you in a better direction.
Your soul is you, and you are your soul. Whatever happens to you, also happens to your soul. Both forms of you want what is best for your growth, joy, peace, and life, but your soul has a clearer, more complete picture of your needs. Trust that it has your back, because your back is your soul’s back. Okay … this is getting confusing again, so let’s just stop. Try what the Angels are suggesting, and see how it works for you. You’re likely to be surprised at all the new insights you discover, along with the inspiration, hope, and encouragement that come with it. See where it leads you.
