There are a million articles about the term “woke,” including the original meaning and what it means when conservatives use it as an insult, to liberals’ view of it representing a more educated, aware person. I’m very careful to separate my views from the Angels’ views, because I would never intentionally misrepresent them, and I’ll be the first to admit, I’m not as loving and accepting of everyone, as they are (although I’m continually working on it!).
When I initially thought about writing this article, I wasn’t going to ask the Archangels for their input, because I know they are always neutral when it comes to politics, controversy, and people. They never take sides. They will clarify, offer insight and guidance, and they will always be truthful, but they will not show favor to one person or group over another. They may take issue with actions, but they never malign or dislike any of us.
I thought I would make this strictly about my views, but something made me stop — I’m sure it was them — and ask if they had anything to add to the conversation, and I’m really glad I did. I liked what they had to say in all its grand neutrality, and it completely changed the tone of the article. Their response is below.
Question: I’m writing an article on the definition of “woke” as it’s used today and its various connotations. Do you have anything to add?
Answer:
We will not involve ourselves in politics, and you know we do not take sides. However, we will address the reason behind this new vocabulary.
We have said for some time that more and more people are awakening, but perhaps we should be more specific about what we mean by that terms and why this awakening is taking place.
Since our channel has published many articles, including our messages about things such as The Shift and the third and fifth dimension traits, and how they affect people, we will not be repetitive and delve in deeply about them. We will repeat that this grand and spreading awakening that is taking place right now on Earth is a direct result of those things, and everyone is affected in one way or another.
The energy of the fifth dimension is so different from what you are used to. It is lighter, less confining, and freeing. It has allowed for people to become more aware of things that need to change, and until they are changed, the majority of you will continue to be bothered by them. The effect is similar to your saying, as if you have taken off your rose-colored glasses. You see things more clearly, and you do not like much of what you can now see.
We often speak of people awakening, but there is nothing controversial or political about it. We know some would beg to differ, but at the heart of it, awakening is simply becoming aware of the truth. It is also about thinking beyond yourself and craving equality and justice for everyone, whether you are being mistreated, or not. When one awakens, they are bothered by the plight of others, and they cannot overlook or clear their minds of unfairness and inequality involving others. It is having a stronger sense of unity and recognizing that everyone is valuable.
Being awakened is a good thing, but it is not necessarily an easy thing. Everyone is affected by the change of energy and dimensions. It is not voluntary, it simply is. Most people will experience a positive transition, as the fifth dimension naturally lends itself and its inhabitants to more joy, love, and unity, replacing previous predominating thoughts of fear, separation, and survival. There are those, however, who will feel threatened and fearful of these changes.
Most common to reject these changes are people in powerful positions who have benefited from the struggle of others, and they will desperately try to convince others to resist them, also, using whatever means are available to them. Those who are not open to change cling to the fear and survival mindset of the third dimension and are easily controlled and manipulated. This is what is behind nearly all the polarity and controversy around the world.
You do not have to be politically minded or involved to be awakened, but understand, once that you have awakened, you can never go back to being blind to the suffering of others or accepting of inequality for others, and you will continue to be bothered by it until things change and are geared toward the benefit of all, rather than a select few.
Another thing that comes with awakening is becoming more aware of yourself and feeling stronger. This is not a choice, either, although again, it is not necessarily comfortable or easy. You are all beginning to realize that much of what you have been conditioned to believe is not true. You are beginning to realize that, although you are just one person, you are significant. That line of thought will eventually lead to the realization that you are mighty, and so much more than you believed yourself to be in the past.
There is nothing political about being awakened, unless you choose to make it so. It is not about choosing sides, it is about unity and love. It is not controversial, it is truth. You can resist it and hide from it, you can join groups who want to fight against it, but you can no longer ignore it or forget it. You do not have to rely on definitions or causes to find the truth, because it resides within you. You can deny it and run from it in fear, but if you do, peace will continue to elude you.
We wish all of you, awakened, woke, unwoke, antiwoke, and all others who are labeled, right or wrong, truthful or dishonest, love, joy, hope, and peace.
Final Thoughts
So, rather than going into all the different ideas of what “woke” means, I’m going to focus on what the Angels call “awakened,” instead. I’m not going to go on the original rant against ignorance and politicians, as was my original intention. And I am not going to suggest someone make buttons that say things like, “Woke and Proud of it!” which I considered before (mentioning it is not the same as suggesting we use it). The term “woke” invites controversy and anger. For me, at least, “awakened” invokes peace and truth. That’s my preference.
I’d rather concentrate on the fact that awakening is personal, rather than public, truthful, rather than controversial. It’s not the same as “woke,” whether it’s meant as a compliment or an insult. It’s about looking at the world and our part in it honestly and wanting something better than what we currently have. It’s really not a choice, it’s a knowledge of what the world is, compared to what it should be.
By and large, the people who are fighting for positive change and standing up for the persecuted aren’t doing it for any other reason than because it is the right thing to do. It’s not politically motivated or for personal gain, it’s just necessary.
Blessings, all.
