The Cat’s Tale, Part 2 – Why Did Spice and Her Kittens Enter Our Lives at This Time?

This is the fun part because it has been my experience that everything happens for a reason and that there are no accidents. If I were to guess I would say that Spice and her kittens appeared in our lives at this time for two reasons. One has to do with Sandra. Retired since 2003 and married to a guy who spends most of his time thinking, writing, and talking about what we are, who we are, what reality is and what the purpose of life is, life can get pretty boring. So, Sandra wants company and something extra to do. Having one or two cats gives it to her. Cats are great companions once you both sort out what works best and makes us happiest together.

I think Spice showed up to remind me of a new way to look at the idea that consciousness, or aware energy, is the source and substance of All That Is. Since she and her kittens arrived in our lives, I’ve been looking at everything around me as a projection of aware energy or consciousness in whatever form it appears. For example, I see you and me as projections of consciousness in human form. Think about it. What you and I think and feel about ourselves and All That Is forms our intent, which, in turn, forms our reality through our actions and reactions. We all think, feel, act and react to inner and outer circumstances all the time. Animals and plants do too. Ponder this idea: is material reality anything more than an illusion? I ask this question because:

Outside of this moment, in what form do we exist?

Startling question, isn’t it? Read it again! Outside of this moment, in what form do we exist? Don’t our past selves exist as memories and our future selves exist as potential expressions of who we are now, who we have been in the past and who we can and want to be in the future? Isn’t it the same for humanity collectively? Does this sound complicated? It is but with aware energy or consciousness being everywhere and everything, it works! It is why our whole lives involve learning.

For the fun of it, assume that Aware Energy or Consciousness is the Source and Substance of All That Is. If this is so, doesn’t that make us Multidimensional, Vibrational Beings of Aware Energy? As such, are we not both:

  1. one with and separate from All That Is?
  2. both products of creation and creation itself?

How does it feel to think of yourself as a unique Multidimensional, Vibrational Being of Aware Energy in an infinite field of Aware Energy? How does it feel to be the self-aware “I” within your body, mind, and All That Is? Take the following ideas for a test drive.

  1. I think, feel, act and react; therefore, I AM. (expanded version of “I think therefore I am” by Rene Descartes)
  2. As I think, feel, act and react (conceive and perceive, whether it’s in dreams or waking reality), I create.
  3. To change what I create, I change what I think and feel, how I act and react.
  4. The self is my seat of power.
  5. The present is my point of power.
  6. Being and Creating what I value is the promise of power.
  7. Being and Creation are the manifestations of power.

How do they feel? Do they make sense to you as a thinking, feeling, acting and reacting Being of Aware Energy in human form? Think about the cells, subcellular artifacts, and symbiotic bacteria that are critical for digestion and maintaining your immune system. It is estimated that an adult human body is made up of approximately thirty five trillion identifiable human cells and a little more than that number in bacteria that exist on our skin and throughout our digestive system.

Add to this number the subcellular artifacts (cellular organs), molecules, atoms  and the invisible thoughts, feelings, actions and reactions of aware energy in the form of beliefs, attitudes, values and expectations that shape energy into the reality we see through our biological senses and you have an ungodly number of distinctly different characters, each one capable of knowing itself from every other and carrying out its own personal role in the creation and maintenance of All That Is, including you and me as human beings.

As the outer self or consciousness for the whole body, we can limit our identity and awareness to only those thoughts and feelings, actions and reactions, those events and experiences that are defined as biological or material. Or, we can choose to see a larger picture, one that takes all of our experiences into consideration, both inner and outer. Think about what it takes for us to develop and maintain the integrity of our bodies within themselves and the world. In effect, we are the intermediary between the larger, inner self of which we are a part, our bodies, and the world, whether we’re consciously aware of it or not.

Spend some time thinking about what it’s like to be you and what it takes to live your life whether you’re a man or woman, white, brown or black, tall or short, rich or poor, strong or weak, old or young. If we see ourselves as only human beings, we tend to feel like winners or losers, right or wrong, good or bad, happy or sad. As consciousness in human and all forms, we tend to think that we’re here to live, love, learn and evolve. We tend to think that we have a say in selecting the particulars of our earthly experience because it allows us to work through, as yet, unresolved issues we may have failed to resolve in past incarnations. Each new day and each new life provides us with the opportunity to create what we want instead of what we don’t want.

As multidimensional, vibrational Beings of Aware Energy, we are forever occupied with making the invisible, visible, the unknown, known, creating order out of chaos and making sense out of nonsense.

Pushed from within by the Impulse to Be and Create and drawn from without by the Promise of Being and Creation, the beating heart of consciousness, it is up to us to determine the difference between what we like and don’t like, what works for us and what doesn’t, what makes us happy and what doesn’t. This must happen at all levels of being. Without the presence of oversight everywhere and at every level of being and creation, mistakes could not be corrected, adjustments could not be made.

The challenge of Being and Creation is learning how to use the power of thought and imagination to shape the energy of ideas into a pleasing reality. The prize is a sense of satisfaction, the feeling of a job well done. Like learning how to walk or talk, it is a personal, subjective endeavor that requires creative aggression. It is a great balancing act that makes falling part of learning how to stand.

Ultimately, there is no right or wrong, good or bad; there just Is, supported by the energy of unconditional love. Only by being free to learn the difference between what we like and don’t like, what works for us and what doesn’t, what makes us happy and what doesn’t, can we become better and more responsible individual creators and collective co-creators.

Deep down, we know how good we are, how much we do and how well we do it. We know how much of a challenge Being and Creation is for All That Is. We also know that we’re doing the best we can with what we know and learning more to do better!

What is life’s greatest dilemma and blessing? It is the presence of imperfection and possibility unexplored. It is the desire to seek greater understanding and serve a higher good.

Individually and together, we are forever God becoming.

This has been a fantastic experience for Sandra and I. Instead of looking at All That Is as a mix of living, dead, and invisible things, we’re beginning to see that every thought form, including humans, is a product of thought, feeling, action and reaction. When Sandra and I look at the world through our own eyes, we can see that we and our experiences are products of what we think and feel, how we act and react in our oneness with and separation from All That Is, as both products of creation and creation itself.

Now, instead of just seeing humans, plants, and animals, we see consciousness in the form of humans, plants, and animals, each one doing the best it can with what it knows to make the most of its life. In an environment of love and plenty of food and water, kittens develop in leaps and bounds. They quickly become physical and engineering experts. Not only are they able to understand their physical preparedness regarding how high they can reach or jump from day to day, they look around for alternate ways to achieve their goals if their bodies are not up to it due to a lack of size or strength. They are very bold and creative Beings of Aware Energy. So are we!
