I find myself constantly adjusting and readjusting the way I perceive and relate to people and things, which includes me. It reminds me of a dream I once had. It’s called: Genesis – A Lucid Creation Dream.
I awoke in this dream, naked, and in total darkness. To move safely, I used my feet and hands to feel my way along. As I began to wonder where things were, they appeared.
Since each creation was a projection of my own consciousness, if there was anything I didn’t like about it, I knew it was up to me to change my perception of it. After discovering a body of water with my feet, I started swimming and wondered, where’s the light? As soon as I asked the question, the light appeared. Then I wondered where the fish were and minnows began curiously nibbling at my skin. I wondered where the dangerous fish were and they appeared, swimming in a circle around me. They had large, sharp looking teeth and swam closer and closer, looking for a chance to safely attack me. Knowing intuitively that my own thoughts were creating this experience, I quickly dialed back my desire for adventure and they went away. During this experience I created several more hair-raising encounters that required adjustments to my thoughts and emotions.
If everything we conceive and perceive is a projection of our own consciousness, a product of our own beliefs, attitudes, values and expectations, therefore, an extension of us, isn’t it up to us to question and change what we think and feel if we don’t like the reality it creates? If what we perceive is the product of what we believe, isn’t it more effective to change what we think than to attack our projections, or what we think of as other people and things in our lives, even though, as Aware Energy, they have a life of their own as well?
Here’s an example from my own life. Through thought and feeling during meditation, I was able to heal my relationship with my parents. I call it, The Healing Power of Forgiveness. In The “Suck Face” Incident, I was able to bring love and acceptance to a relationship that started out as ridicule on my part. We make less pronounced adjustments all the time as we interact with each other during conversation, even though we often fail to recognize it for what it is.
In My Encounter with the Energy of Unconditional Love, an extraordinary waking experience, I learned what it was like to be loved unconditionally and the profound healing effect it had on me. I wanted to perform miracles in the presence of this Being who loved me unconditionally, this Being who understood that I was doing the best I could with what I knew, and learning more to do better. As we think, feel, act and react, we create. To change what we create, we must change what we think and feel, how we act and react.
For this to make sense, we must accept three things:
1. Consciousness, or Aware Energy, is the Source and Substance of All That Is. How can we say this? Because, without Energy or the Power to Act, how can Awareness know and express itself? And, without Awareness, what acknowledges and creates a need for Energy? Doesn’t one need the other for ANYTHING and EVERYTHING to exist?
2. As unique, individualized expressions of Aware Energy, we are both one with and separate from All That Is.
3. We are not only products of creation; we are creation itself!
