What Seth seems to be describing is the Creation, but a very dissimilar one to the Christian version. In the Christian version, God creates the universe, which is then separate from God. In Seth’s version, God remains the nexus of the universe, the source of its energy and therefore life. There is no separation, only a change in the relation of God to his creations. The occupants of the universe gain actuality and self-determination while they remain part of the Whole. What I like to say is that God stopped thinking the universe, and the universe started to think itself. God ceased to dream our lives, and we started to create them ourselves – which is why Seth referred to us as “co-creators” of our lives. We remain part of God by virtue of the fact that God’s consciousness occupies every particle of energy that forms the universe. It is the penetration of God’s consciousness into all things that explains why the universe can be considered a single individual (God) or a vast community of individuals. This is the “gestalt” that Seth talks about.
